The International Live Events Association (ILEA) is the association for event industry professionals that is focused on promoting creativity, inspiration, teamwork, education and relationships within its membership. ILEA provides an encouraging platform for those accomplished within the event field and those who are branching into the industry, providing monthly education and networking meetings and special events to promote a growth within different facets of the industry.
Katy Willis
Director of Convention Services, Visit Seattle
Katy Willis has served as Director, Convention Services at Visit Seattle since 2013. Willis leads a team of six and is responsible for organizing, coordinating and directing all operations, programs and personnel required for servicing Seattle conventions and trade shows. She works with meeting planner clients and Seattle stakeholders to determine servicing requirements as well as collaborates with both groups to maximize meeting attendance and economic impact in the city.
Shelly Tolo
President, Tolo Events
Shelly Tolo launched Tolo Events in 2002 after a 12-year career as a development officer and event planner for nonprofit organizations. Her business mission is to maximize events through strategic planning and creating fabulous atmospheres and programs. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University with a concentration in nonprofit organizations. In addition to her business savvy, Shelly has a keen eye for design and is recognized as a leading event designer in the industry.

Fred is a sought-after emcee and comedy improvisor, and he travels the country hosting events and designing engaging entertainment for a wide variety of audiences. From 12,000 person company meetings to small conferences, he's hosted them all. Previous clients include Microsoft, Boeing, Starbucks, Amazon.com, Expedia, BECU, and many more.
