#SeattleLives Virtual Circus Spectacle
Join us live online at the SeattleLives studio as we bring in local artists and performers to share our city's talents and provide entertainment to our community from the comfort of their couches!
This week we will be working to support and raise funds for SANCA!
SANCA is Seattle's only non-profit circus school and serves almost 1,000 students weekly. The school offers classes for everyone - including programs for people who have disabilities or learning differences, and people who have less access and opportunity to vital, healthy, and creative activities like circus arts. Their Youth Scholarship Program has always ensured that no youth is turned away. In the past 15 years, SANCA has provided more than $1.75 Million in need-based tuition aid to more than 6,600 youth.
Following Public Health guidelines and the governor's orders SANCA has closed until restrictions are lifted. Their projected losses are more than $500,000 and their spring class session running through June has been cancelled. Their shows, performance rentals, and events are cancelled until further notice. SANCA hopes to re-open with appropriate social-distancing and health measures once Public Health orders are relaxed, but they don't know when that will be possible.
SANCA has launched Circus at Home Online Classes for FREE to continue services and support to the community while under stay-at-home orders. These classes include circus-based fitness, juggling, handstands, flow classes, theatre and make-up classes, performance classes for SANCA's youth troupes, and even social support meet-ups for youth and families during this time of crisis. SANCA plans to continue an online-class model in the future after re-opening. You can try out SANCA's online classes by reserving a spot at their website at www.sancaseattle.org.
SANCA's ability to survive the COVID-19 pandemic rests on the generosity of our community and your gifts of support. Please make a donation to help Seattle's non-profit circus school during this crisis. SANCA is accepting donations through their Spring Campaign at www.sancaseattle.org/givebig. You have SANCA's deepest gratitude. Thank you!

Deon Fox
Aerialist, Fire & Ground Performer
Deon found circus 2 years ago and quickly quit his job to dive in head first. You can
normally see him in the air on a Rope, though he also loves playing with object
manipulation, Dragon Staff. In his down time you can find Deon doing things that
compliment his creativity, but aren't as physically demanding such as Knitting, Cross
Stitching, or Embroidery.

Amelia Wood
Emcee & Physical Performer, Owner The Great Surprisal
"Emcee Extraordinarie" is Amelia in every sense of the word. Not only is she
extra—with her refined talents of singing, dancing, physicality and below average
juggling, she is light years beyond any ordinary emcee. As an event host with over 15 years of industry experience, she knows the ins and outs of fundraising as well as
corporate life. Her ability to transform into celebrities and characters of the past and present earns her a badge in the Chameleon Hall of Fame. Her repertoire also includes “socially distant” Singing Telegrams— perfect for when you can’t be there to celebrate in person.

Regan Powers
Dancer, Choreographer & Physical Performer
Miss Powers is a Seattle, WA based story weaver. From dark, sultry cabaret to light
hearted, exuberant character work, she has partnered with local and national event
production companies to create a one of a kind experience for each audience to behold.
Whether it’s a free style dance set, a fiery fan dance, a choreographed prop piece, or an awe-inspiring aerial act, Miss Powers leaves her heart and soul on the stage.
